.The Portugal star's leaping header proved one of the
highlights of the month but faces stiff competition from
a number of wonderful strikes in France
Cristiano Ronaldo, Hal Robson-Kanu and Xherdan Shaqiri have
made the shortlist for the UEFA EURO 2016 Goal of the
tournament, presented by Carlsberg.
Wales star Robson-Kanu is the front-runner for the prize after
his sensational Cruyff-turn and neat finish proved the highlight
of a historical night for the Welsh as they saw off Belgium 3-1 to
book their first ever semi-final at a major international
tournament.
But Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo will be hoping his sensational
header against Robson-Kanu’s Wales in the semi-final will be
enough to see him take home the prize to help make up for his
injury disappointment in Sunday’s final.
That match saw Ronaldo’s Portugal claim their first ever major
title thanks to a stunning extra-time strike from substitute Eder,
which is also in line for the gong.
Switzerland forward Shaqiri will take some beating, however, with
his overhead kick against Poland one of the favourites in the
five-goal shortlist.
Hungary’s Zoltan Gera rounds off the selection, earning a
nomination with his thumping volley against Portugal in his side’s
thrilling 3-3 group-stage draw.
The Twitter employee who deactivated President Donald Trump's Twitter account has been revealed. In a new interview with TechCrunch , contractor Bahtiyar Duysak from Germany opened up on how the President's page disappeared for 11 minutes one day in November. He said "In my opinion, it was definitely a mistake and if I am involved with this, I really apologize if I hurt anyone. "I didn't do anything on purpose but as I said, I had a wild time in America and I was tired sometimes and everyone can do mistakes." I didn't hack anyone. I didn't do anything I wasn't authorized to do…I didn't do any crime." As for why Bahtiyar decided to come forward today, he claims that he simply wants the media to back off from investigating who is responsible. "I just want to continue an ordinary life," "I had to delete hundreds of friends because reporters are stalking me. I just want to continue an ordinary life." http://if...
