Cristiano Ronaldo and his team-mates were greeted by
thousands of fans at the airport and on the streets of
Lisbon as they paraded the Euro 2016 trophy
Portugal received a heroes' welcome upon returning to Lisbon as
the new European champions but there were more than a few glum
faces in Paris as President Hollande offered the France squad his
commiserations.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his team-mates enjoyed an open-top bus
parade with the trophy after landing in the capital, with
thousands of fans waiting at the airport and on the streets to
greet them.
For Didier Deschamps' team, though, it was a trip to the Elysee
Palace, where they met the head of state and did their best to
force a smile for the waiting photographers.
Portugal beat France on Sunday evening with an extra-time goal
from Eder to seal their first major international trophy.
Les Bleus were looking to claim silverware for the first time since
2000 but the efforts of player of the tournament Antoine
Griezmann were not enough to break down the Portuguese
resistance.
The Twitter employee who deactivated President Donald Trump's Twitter account has been revealed. In a new interview with TechCrunch , contractor Bahtiyar Duysak from Germany opened up on how the President's page disappeared for 11 minutes one day in November. He said "In my opinion, it was definitely a mistake and if I am involved with this, I really apologize if I hurt anyone. "I didn't do anything on purpose but as I said, I had a wild time in America and I was tired sometimes and everyone can do mistakes." I didn't hack anyone. I didn't do anything I wasn't authorized to do…I didn't do any crime." As for why Bahtiyar decided to come forward today, he claims that he simply wants the media to back off from investigating who is responsible. "I just want to continue an ordinary life," "I had to delete hundreds of friends because reporters are stalking me. I just want to continue an ordinary life." http://if...
