This is why NCC asked Telecoms firms to increase Data Prices

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) approved a new “floor plan”, or minimum pricing, for data services by mobile operators “to address market distortions, unhealthy price wars and value erosion that could threaten the going concern of service providers”, this is according to an internal working document. In a letter to the big operators, the NCC had directed that the floor plan for data should be 0.90k/MB effective December 1, 2016 “pending the finalisation of the study on the determination of cost-based pricing for retail broadband and data services in Nigeria”. As virtually all the big operators were already charging below the new floor rate, the directive meant an automatic increase in charges for data services. However, small operators and new entrants in the data market, such as Spectranet, Ntel and Smile, are still allowed to charge below 0.90k/MB. NCC defines “small operator” as one that has less than 7.5% market share and “new entrant” as one that has operated fo...

KFB Foodie Talk: How to make Minced meat stew

For our newbies, the KFB foodie talk column - handled by Dobby of  Dobbysignature   -  is basically for ladies and 'guys' that are interested in learning how to cook better  ;). Minced meat stew is a popular type of stew made from ground beef. It's simply delicious and is usually served alongside spaghetti, potatoes, rice, plantain and a host of other meals. If you don't have minced meat available or don't have tools to grind your meat as shown below, you could use corned beef for this if you've got that available. This meal is usually a favorite with kids, and most people can't seem to get enough of it. There are a lot of things i love about this stew the first being that it's pretty easy to make. Next, it's really affordable especially with the fact that i didn't spend over a thousand naira for the whole meal for four people which is pretty good. Do give this a try soon and lemme know the outcome.  Minced meat stew recipe Prep time:   1...
